Melio Pricing Explained Beyond the Monthly Subscription

A Melio budget should account for subscriptions, users, payment volume, funding methods, and delivery choices.

A payment platform can have a low subscription price and still produce a meaningful monthly bill. Melio is a good example of why businesses should budget for how they pay suppliers, as well as the plan they select.

The clearest comparison separates subscription costs from transaction costs.

The current subscription structure

On Melio’s US pricing page, checked October 2, 2026, Go has no subscription charge and includes five free ACH payments monthly. Core is listed at $25 monthly, Boost at $55, and Unlimited at $80 on monthly billing, before additional-user charges where applicable.

Core includes 20 free monthly ACH payments and Boost includes 50. The page lists a $0.50 charge per ACH payment beyond those allowances. Annual commitments show different effective monthly prices.

Treat these as a dated snapshot. Promotions, eligibility, and terms should be confirmed before subscribing.

Build a cost estimate from your payment mix

Use this structure:

Monthly cost = subscription + additional users + chargeable payments + other applicable fees.

A hypothetical one-user business making 30 standard ACH payments monthly would have 25 payments above Go’s allowance. At the displayed excess-payment rate, that component would cost $12.50.

On Core, ten payments would exceed the allowance, producing $5 in excess-payment charges plus the $25 monthly subscription. That makes $30 before any other applicable charges.

This example compares payment-volume costs only. Core also provides capabilities that may justify the higher subscription, such as supported accounting sync and batch actions.

Check the expensive exceptions

Card-funded payments, faster delivery, wires, checks, international transactions, and other methods can have different charges. Review the transaction-fee section for the methods you actually intend to use.

Do not assume that unlimited included ACH payments make every payment method free. Also distinguish the scheduled sending date from the expected arrival date.

For card-funded payments, consider repayment obligations and the card provider’s own terms alongside Melio’s fee.

Pay for a workflow you need

Estimate a typical month and a busy month. Then ask whether approvals, accounting connections, additional users, or transaction volume justify a different tier.

Keep the renewal cost visible if an introductory offer influences the decision. An effective monthly annual price also represents a different commitment from monthly billing.

Melio’s value should be assessed against the complete supplier-payment process. Choose a plan because its combination of features and payment costs suits that process, rather than because the first price shown looks inexpensive.
